What are you known for, ?
I'm known for my epic love (OK... obsession!) with the color purple. My purple hair is usually the first thing people see when I walk in a room.
Everywhere I go, people compliment me on it.
I assume the people who don't like it simply don't say anything... 😉
Either way, it's pretty hard to miss, and one thing that makes me memorable.
Last week a new acquaintance said she's always thought about dying her hair royal blue, but never had the guts to do it.
I told her it was really fun, and to expect lots of attention if she did. There's no way to hide when you have crazy hair.
Her eyes widened and she physically backed away.
The idea of being so visible obviously scared her.
She's not alone.
Many of us are afraid to stand out, even though that's exactly what we need to do as entrepreneurs.
You need to be seen. Known. Visible.
You simply won't be successful if you keep hiding.
Blending in is not a success strategy.
You don't need purple hair to stand out (even though doing something "radical" and scary can be a great way to quickly get over your fear).
But you DO need to stand up for what you believe in. Show up - often and consistently. Be seen and heard. Live your purpose.
You need the CONFIDENCE to stand out.
Do you have it? Or do fear and insecurity hold you back?
Are you afraid of what people will think and say?
Other people's opinions are none of your business.
Let go of the need for approval.
Be YOU, confidently.
You customers need that.
And you deserve it.
