This has been a week of tech challenges!
Nothing big. Just in multiple places.
In my last email, I told you about an issue that I needed expert help to solve. (And how getting help from TRUE experts is crucial!)
But I was able to fix another issue myself, even better than the expert.
I got a critical error on one of my websites. The tech rep told me it was due to some kind of file incompatibility. He did a "temporary fix" and told me I'd need to hire a web developer for a permanent solution.
But in trying to fix a DIFFERENT problem on the site, I uncovered the REAL source of the first error: I'd unpublished my LeadPages redirect for the homepage. When the Leadpages plugin was activated, it broke the site since there was no page to redirect
to.
To fix the problem, I simply needed to republish the page.
It wasn't a super techie problem. It just needed some problem solving.
But I have to admit: I felt like such a badass, fixing the problem myself!
Now, I don't believe in basing your confidence and self-worth on your accomplishments.
Because you STILL need to be confident and know your worth when you fail.
But knowing your COMPETENCE is a foundational pillar of self-worth. (And GAINING competence often involves a lot of failure...)
It isn't the same of performance.
It isn't about having successful launches or making six figures or any other metric of success we typically think of.
There's a subtle difference, but it's important.
