Way back in the day, I was involved with a network marketing company. At almost every meeting, our director admonished us to stop wasting time on "busy work" like organizing inventory, repacking our show bags, and making customer packets. Instead, she insisted we focus only on "income producing activities." Making
booking/customer service calls, etc.
While it was generally good advice, she missed one very important point. If we spent ZERO time organizing our business, the chaos and clutter made it very difficult to actually MAKE money when we had the opportunity. We'd lose order forms. Look like an unorganized mess at shows when our product was tossed haphazardly in our
bags.
We had to spend at least SOME time taking care of the back end so we could make front-end sales.
When it comes to your business, YOU are the ultimate back end. Not your tech, not your systems. YOU.
If YOU burn out, your business crashes and burns. If you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of your customers.
