Whew!
I just finished hosting a 2-week+ giveaway.
I was a lot of fun and a LOT of work.
And the work isn't quite over.
I still have a few final emails to send and some follow-up to do.
AND I'm in the middle of creating a brand-new, SUPER powerful self-care course that I'm launching in a few weeks. (A next step, if you will, to Me-Time
Magic.)
My to-do list is a mile long.
It's SOOOOO tempting to plow right through and keep going full force.
But you know what I'm doing today?
2 powerful practices that are vital to self-care and confidence.
1) I'm resting. The emails and followup will largely wait until tomorrow. So will the work on my new course. I'm taking the day off to be with my family and
read a book.
2) I'm celebrating. Celebrating a successful event. Celebrating the new partnerships I formed and THEIR success. Celebrating the LONG "Done" list on my
Trello board that's proof of what I accomplished in pulling off the event.
The two practices go hand in hand. Because I'm resting (and taking care of my physical and mental needs), I have time and energy to celebrate (which is a
key component of confidence).
Don't be afraid of taking some down time.
Your body and your soul need it. You'll come back refreshed and re-energized.
And celebrate your successes, big and small. We don't do enough of that. We tend to focus on everything in front of us - all the tasks STILL to do, all the
progress STILL to make.
But we thrive when we celebrate how far we've come. We become more confident. And life is just more enjoyable.
What have you accomplished lately that you're proud of? What are you celebrating today?
