These days, it seems like we face more judgment than ever from people who disagree with our choices in life - be it parenting, politics, healthcare decisions, you name
it.
In the online world, one of the biggest sources of judgment I see is an implicit "goal shame."
SO many "gurus" shout from the rooftops about "how to build a 6 (or 7) figure business."
Free gifts, summits, giveaways, paid products - all geared toward helping you achieve that goal - as if everyone and their grandmother MUST strive toward a 6-figure business, or it's not good enough.
I've even seen coaches go so far as to call your business a HOBBY if
it isn't pulling in 6 figures.
Sheesh!!!
Frankly, I'm tired of it all.
If you WANT a 6-figure
business, then more power to you! Go for it with all your heart, soul, and intention.
But what if you DON'T want that big of a business?
What if you have no desire to dedicate the time or energy, or to manage the team it would
require to grow beyond your current level?
What if you only want your business to make you enough money to pay your mortgage or add a little breathing room to your monthly budget?
What if you're simply happy where you
are?
Are you any less legit as an entrepreneur because of it? No way!
Yet these messages can get under your skin. Make you doubt yourself and beat yourself up as one more way you're "not good
enough."
Don't ever think that you're not good enough to achieve ANY goal you truly desire.
But don't let anyone else define your goals, tell you what you "should" strive for, or make you feel ashamed when your goals are different
than theirs.
Being a Radiant Entrepreneur means doing life and business YOUR way.
Seeking mentorship and expert help where you need it while not letting anyone else DEFINE you or your
goals.
Today, I invite you to take a look at your business goals. Which of those goals do you TRULY desire, and which ones are "should" goals that have been put ON you by someone else?
What shifts do you need to
make in your goals so they truly align with your desires, your values, and true self?
