Hey beautiful!
Are you tired of the constant hustle culture?
Burned out by the glorification of busy?
Feel guilty anytime you rest - or simply don't "give your all?"
Ugh!!! I get it!
We're bombarded with messages to do more. Push through. "Work like no one else will so you can live like no one else can."
It's exhausting!
So last week, I quit.
I'd just finished 3 weeks of beast-mode productivity -
creating 2 new courses (and most of a 3rd), appearing on several podcasts/summits, revamping my affiliate program, and doing a HUGE techy overhaul on the backend of my business.
And there's more to do. Always.
But I was tired. Staring at my computer TRYING to be productive, but failing.
Dreading ALL the tasks on my to-do-list.
And I felt the beginnings of a fibromyalgia flare coming on.
So I wrote and scheduled all my emails for the week on Monday. And then I
quit.
I read books the rest of the week. Made a dent in my mile-long To-Be-Read List.
And you know what? Now I'm refreshed, feeling stronger, and ready to get back into productive mode.
You don't have
to constantly hustle, .
In fact, it's better NOT to. We're not designed for non-stop activity.
You'll be more productive - and more at peace! - when you take time to rest and recharge.
It's all about balance. Listening to your body. Honoring your natural rhythms.
One of the questions I ask in my Ace Your Business Boundaries course is "What are signs that you
need to take EXTRA time off, and what’s your plan with that occurs?"
That's important to know, whether you own a business or not.
What are your signs? Are they physical? Mental? Emotional?
Do you LISTEN to them?
If not, how can you put a plan in
place to get rest when you need it?
