Yesterday was National Get Over It Day.
The purpose, according to
NationalToday.com, is to "take some time to self-reflect, figure out what’s weighing us down, and decide that the past should live in the past."
Sounds great, right?
We all need to let go of some emotional baggage and focus on the opportunities in front of us.
Trouble is, most well-meaning coaches leave it at that: Get over it.
As if it's a light switch you can flip at will.
But if you've
got ANY sort of trauma in your past ("big T" or "little t"), you know it's not that easy.
I'm just gonna say it: I see a LOT of unresolved trauma in the coaching world, and traumatized coaches who re-traumatize their clients.
"You've gotta constantly hustle!"
"Work now like others won't so you can live later like others can't!"
"If you don't results like mine, it's because you don't WANT it bad enough!"
Most coaches TELL you to work on your mindset. They might even give you some generic personal development advice.
But they don't really KNOW how to help you "get over it."
Because that takes expertise that most business coaches simply don't have.
So if you've been told by coach after coach to simply "put the past behind you," and you feel crappy about yourself because you just can't seem to DO that, it's not your fault.
You're not SUPPOSED to just be able to do that.
It takes work. And a system. And expert guidance.
The good news, it that I've seen SO many people just like you who, once they get this piece nailed down, once they make peace with their past and know their worth at a soul-deep level,
SOAR.
They succeed at the other coaching programs because they've got solid foundation of belief in themselves. They're no longer sabotaged by ghosts of their past - personal or business failures, abusive relationships, decisions they deeply regret.
And they KNOW they can succeed. They KNOW
they're enough, and they KNOW they're worth it.
So, yes, by all means, get over it.
But don't have the unrealistic expectation that you'll do it instantly and without help. Because it you could have, you'd have done it by now.
So what does it take? For starters, acknowledging the lies you believe about yourself. Naming them and figuring out their origin. THEN you can replace those lies with the truth.
This is one of the first steps I teach my 1:1 clients how to do this in my Fire the Liar Framework.
There are
other steps to truly "get over it." It's way more than slapping an affirmation band-aid on a broken soul and expecting it to heal.
(Hint: it doesn't work that way.)
You've gotta be willing to do the work.
It doesn't have to take years. My clients and I work together for 12
weeks.
Look, you wouldn't go to your mechanic for open heart surgery. And you wouldn't ask your dentist for tax advice. So why are you relying on your business coach to help you know your self-worth?
When you need help, you go to an expert. When it comes to your confidence and self-worth, that's
me, btw

If you want to know more about working with me 1:1, reply to this email, and we'll set
up a time to chat about my Radiate private coaching program.
You CAN "get over it" when you have the right tools, the right help, and the right game plan.
