January is coming to a close. Can you believe it?
After the dumpster fire that was 2020, I think we all have high hopes that this year will be different. Better. Good.
It's about time, right?
And better is always good. Except when the constantly striving for "better" makes you feel crappy about yourself.
Take, for instance, all these "New Year, New You!" challenges. You see them every year.
And the new year can be a good time to start over - though it's not necessary to wait.
But here's my problem with all those challenges. They presume that there's something wrong with you. That you're not enough. That you need to create a completely new YOU to be worthy.
I call B.S.
Maybe you need to rediscover yourself. Figure out how and why you've been hiding. Vow to stop living up to the expectations of other people. Commit to loving yourself. Accepting yourself. BEING yourself 100% in your life and business.
Maybe you want a BETTER you. But you don't need to create an entirely NEW you. You've been doing that far too long: creating a facade, hoping and praying that people don't see past the mask of perfection you wear, worried that people will discover the REAL you.
Well, it's time you showed the real you.
THAT'S what the world needs. That's what your BUSINESS needs.
Let's face it: when your clients want a polished, perfect brand, they shop at a faceless store like Target or Amazon. When they hire YOU, they crave real connection. They want to KNOW you, to see your quirks and your personality. They want someone who's unique and doesn't look, act, and talk like everyone else out there.
A wise mentor once told me this: Many people do what you DO. Your clients hire you for YOU.
So be YOU.
Maybe you've got some junk in your past that you need to deal with in order to accomplish that. If so, I can help with that. It's quicker and easier when you have a mentor with a SYSTEM to guide you through it. Schedule a complimentary Confidence Breakthrough Discovery Session to chat with me about how I can support you in your journey.
Let's give up the idea of creating a NEW you.
And let's commit 2021 to being an AUTHENTIC you.
Because you're pretty dang awesome!
